Lightning Blue w/Black and BRG w/Black - photos?

Have any of you seen these combinations in real life and/or can you point me in the direction of any photos?

I have seen the Laser Blue w/Black...you'd think that would be good enough for me, but that blue is much brighter...

Have seen the lovely BRG/BRG with black pillars...also very nice, but trying to get an idea of how the black roof would look.

Many thanks for any help!

Glad you like my BRG/BRG/Black!

I've seen a BRG/Black/Black and I think it's a much better combination than BRG/Silver/Silver. But think about the sunroof: if you spec that it would introduce another colour, or tone, over a large proportion of the roof area and I think the result would look messy.

But then I would think that!

Aren't the sunroof surrounds black? I can't really remember but I thought they were.

Decisions, decisions.

Here you go...

Firstly I chose the LightningBlue/Black, but I noticed that that combo was so deep... so I got the laser blue.

Right, I guess I like the more subdued color combo...but I should go an take a look at your wonderful photos again to imagine it just a little darker - which I will do right now once I find that link.

P.S. Thank you for posting those pix...I have seen them before. Just wanted a real side view picture of BRG/Black or Lightning Blue/Black - it's that roof line and back surround combination that I want to see.

P.P.S. Aha, now I see you did have a side view shot of your car, that's very helpful. Now on to finding a BRG/Black.

I do not have a pic but there was one at the dealership with BRG / BLACK roof. We liked the combination and ended up ordering this color combo. I will have pics in about 6 weeks, lol.

Oh gee - where is your dealership? I'd love to see a photo...but it's nice to read that someone saw it and liked it.

Would you say you found the black roof on the BRG less obtrusive? I do like the Lightning/Black combination but it might be "too" much for me..I love blue but I prefer a more subtle approach... When I've seen the regular MINI with BRG/BLK I've found it quite attractive in a very classic sort of way.

I'm picking up my Chili Red/Black Clubby tomorrow. I'll try to post photos or put them in my gallery.
I have now officially waited for 782 days for this car. My deposit was put on it Jan.4, 2006.

The Chili Red is beautiful and I had the dark tint in the back windows, and 20% up front. Also Ultrashield on bonnet, mirrors, door cups, back and front bumpers.

The car arrived at the dealership last Tuesday so knowing it was there drove me crazy to not be able to get down there until Monday.

Congrats to you cloud10!

Aww, thomastrain - can't you just rush back over and shoot a few pictures for me?

Am doing my best to try to find someone to Photoshop some photos for me.

Thanks to some good pals on NEMINI.org I have now uploaded a Photoshopped version of the BRG/Blk combination - if you're interested.

BRG/BLK is definitely a winner. I get a lot of complements from the color combination and plus you don't see that color combination that often. I must say, having a white roof with a sunroof on a BRG would look messy. Just my 2 cents.

Mine started as a Lightning Blue body and top with black trim, now all blue. Lightning Blue is the best of the 6+ shades of blue offered over the years
