Only 1.5 months late, mine is the last R55 Clubman the dealer I bought from is getting. Told me it's the last one allocated to western Canada, but I don't know how true that is.

For CRASHMTB: Looks nice and your dealer was probably right. Was configuring one on-line last weekend and when I went on-line today, the factory is not accepting any R55 orders and they are trying to get rid of inventory. Really think the "new" Clubman is a bloated mockery of the design. Too bad MINI wasn't a bit more upfront about it with maybe a countdown or last chance sale or something; wonder if the MINI marketing department has a "Weasels at Work" sign...

It was pretty widely known thatR55 production would be done by June.
Not much of a secret.

The new 4 door mini is equivalent in extra space, but just isn't the same..

 

My dealer didn't know MINI had quit taking orders and there was ZERO notice on the website. The new 2014 MINI coupe didn't ship until early this year so was "assuming" similar for the new 2015 Clubman and those of use wanting the current design had another month or 2...

 

I remember the C-5 when I was in Vietnam called Queer Albert. Think it was the A models due to it kneeling feature and not be able to reset.

Yes, they have ruined the Clubman. They should have just dropped the name & just called it the Mini 4 door. What a shame.

 

Its always about meeting the public needs and making money. They will soon ruin all the brand.

 

It's a pity the Mini will go from a cool little car, to just another "Hondota"

Thanks. I had a really nice mk4 jetta before this. Show car, for approximately 2 show seasons I placed first in my class at Waterfest, h2o and the
Show n go events. I also took home best of show at a dubaudi event called deustche werks.
Had my fun and spent a lot of money also lol

 

Like the wheels, look like the kind you find on MK 4 VWs. Are these wheels 4 X100 or did you have to get wheel spaces/hub kits to fit VW wheels on it.

I also came from the MK4 scene. I still miss the VW engine though .

 

They are Axis Klassics 17x7.5 with a 35ET. Offset is perfect imo. Wheels are 4x100, no spacers were needed. FYI tire rack has them on clearance.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum, and I just put down a deposit on this guy:



It's the only '14 manual NA Clubman I could find on my side of the states. It's on its way from another dealer, so it should be ready for me next week. Red wasn't my first choice (BRG was what I wanted), but my current car is Red, so it's certainly no deal-breaker. It had all the features I wanted except for stripes, which will be added upon delivery.

Looking forward to next Monday for once.

Thanks, I'm going from a Jeep to the Mini. It'll be my first small car. Looking forward to the change. Methinks it'll take some getting used to having less storage at first...

Welcome! Nice Clubbie. I came from a mid-size SUV to my Clubman, and at first missed the extra room, but figured out how to improvise with better packing skills. Plus I added a roof rack and bought both a metal basket as well as a hard shell roof box. Amazing how much can fit inside those. Traveled many family trips with wife, kid, 60 lb dog and all our luggage to Florida. Good luck and happy motoring!
