Placed my order yesterday. YAY!! :grin:

The Sales Mgr at my dealership told me that all dealers get 9 spec cars for the launch. He's keeping 2 for demos and to sell from. Six of the other 7 are already sold. They used their 4 car allotments each month to order spec cars, when they get an actual order they put it on one of the specs that they've ordered...so I got the 3rd February production space - I'm hoping for Late April/early May delivery. :roll:

Can't wait to start tracking the progress in the OL.

This is my 1st MINI - is there a tutorial anywhere you can recommend? I see that there are lots of terms and abbreviations that I will likely need to know to keep up with you all on the boards. :confused:

I went to test drive a Clubman today...VERY COOL!! I'm very happy with my decision. :nod:

My MA told me that I'm already in production - guess that means I should see it in a month or so - which is quicker than I expected! :eek:

My MA also gave me a few of the cool little marketing promo items too - I got ZIG and ZAG antenna balls and chocolate fortune cookies with MINI Clubman fortunes inside - they were very tasty...and a little book they're giving out on the story of ZUG.

Very exciting day for me!! If I'm smiling this much today, I won't be able to contain myself on delivery day. :grin:

how did you find out your production week so quickly? my MA told me to go to the owners lounge and check for status there and it only says on order

I put in for Wednesday on the 11th was hoping she would be before the Dragon :)

The OL is a bit slow with updates. Mine still said on order even though I had a production date. I called 1-866-ASK-MINI and talked to one of the Customer Relations folks - they told me I was scheduled for production with estimated completion date of 16 Feb. :thumbsup:

I just called today for an update from the automated system and it says I'm in the paint shop with an estimated finish date of 16 Feb - which is today...Best best is to call and ask. They're very helpful people and very friendly. :grin:

My MA also put my order on one of the specs that they had preorderd so I got that spot inline...depends on if that is the case for you too I guess. I hope that's the case for you too. It's nice to know that it's already being built...but the waiting can be painful. :impatient:

Ordered mine yesterday 2/15/2008 build date last week of February. Can't wait!!

wow thats quick! ugh i sure hope ask MINI is working on monday so i can find out my build date agggh hehehe

I ordered mine on Friday, base Clubman in Lightning Blue/ Silver with the premium package, cold weather package, xenon and fog lamps, and a few other interior upgrades, paid msrp at $24,950 ($50 under my budget!).
I did not get run-flat tires, just the base 15" wheels, as I believe that the run-flat disadvantages outnumber the advantages. By the way, the mini-spare in the Clubman is inside the car, not underneath.
