Since you are the only other member on this forum that already took delivery of the car I wanted to ask you a question.

Do you know if there are valves in the exhaust that open at a certain rpm for noise regulations? Do you have a picture? If it has those valves, I want them open!

In case you have no idea what I'm on about, the Corvette Z06 has it too.

Thanks in advance!

Actually I dont have any idea if the car has it but the exhaust sound is so clear and noisy... When you push the pedal down (driving not parked) and you drop it fast it makes a sound like a "ta,ta,ta,ta"... I dont know how to explain it in english, sorry. But what Im going to do is to rec a video of the exhaust wile driving with the cam outside focusing the exhaust exits.

Yes, exactly. You are referring to the 'pops', which sometimes are very loud

When you installed the springs, did you take a picture of the exhaust system?

The sound is indeed very clear but I sometimes have the impression when I'm pushing real hard from under 2000 rpm to 3000 rpm there is a sudden change in noise.

But yes, it sounds great! No more need for aftermarket stuff!

This is a MINI... you will need more and more stuff... Hahaha...

I'm not referring to the popping... It's another thing... Its the sound that makes the air while slides through the exit exhaust pipes when you push down to 3500 and drop the gas... It's something philosophical explained like this... Hahaha...

I have a pic of the exhaust, yes....

I have a pic of the exhaust, yes....

It's so addicting But I decided not to mod it anymore.

Thanks for you picture. I don't see any valves. (I think, I'm not a mechanic )

I agree, the R56 sits just a bit too high but it only bothers me when you really start to notice. JCW lowers the car by one cm, which is just perfect.

R55's sit slighty lower at the back, which is good

The JCW... If you want to lower it thats the worst thing you can do... I have a friend with it installed and it looks like... Ah, ejem... Ok, you have JCW Supension... And it is so high!! The difference was more noticed in the r53 than in the r56...
