Order time to delivery? Any recent orders?

How long would one be looking for an order to be delivered? I'd like a mid-March delivery of a MCSCm; Vacation, weather and such are the reasons...should I be ordering mid-feb? Anyone with current orders and firm delivery times? Thaks much!

Also considering a Golf (er rabbit) GTI...

From what I have read it seems orders are taking 2 months or so (but that is not 1st hand knowledge). The absolute best way to find out is to call the dealership you are going to buy from & they can tell you the production time

But if I call them, they'll know I'm interested...then, they will have ultimate advantage!

I ordered my MCSC on Nov 13 and it has been built and has been waiting on the docks in england for the voyage over for the last 6 days. From what others are saying on NAM, though, it might be on the way and the tracking info is wrong. I'm expecting mine the first or second week of January. so 6-8 weeks or so of waiting....

We ordered our 07 S convert. (british racing green w/green ragtop, chrome exterior package, sport package and have several items I am to install) in the beginning of May, 07. It is July 13 (Friday 13, 2007...hope this is not a bad sign) and we are going to pick it up this morning...so ours took the entire quoted 12 weeks. Hope it is worth the wait....had a hard time sleeping last night in anticipation!

I ordered my sidewalk package in May early and got it in mid June. It took around 7 weeks. I think we lucked out!

6 weeks and was surprised!

I ordered in the second week of June. I was told 8 to 9 weeks (early mid August) and I was informed last Saturday (7/21) that it was ready. I actually have to do some scrambling since I had not sold my current vehicle and so I had to obtain some additional cash. Suggest checking with your sales rep on the schedule to ensure that you are not surprised. I am picking pepper white base model this weekend.
