R52 Convertible Roof Stuck Closed; and it's not the sensors
I had the convertible top recall done by my service advisor. Now it squeals when raising/lowering. And it looks like I might be getting the crescent-shaped scrapes on the passenger-side rear window...

WOW - I feel your pain
Same darn thing happened to me 2 days ago. I have to drive 2 hrs for service. Coincidentally it is the same side. When I push the button the drivers side starts to move back but the passenger does not budge. If by any chance you know what parts were needed, would you share that info, I'd like to call ahead to have em waiting...

MiniJoe,
Hope I'm not too late in responding.
The dealer told me that one of the "carriages" was jammed up (the carriage slides on the track) and had to be replaced (obviously it's the carriage on the side that doesn't open).
The didn't need to replace the whole roof - thank goodness.
However, I did have the roof replaced about 2 years after I bought my Vert because a hole got created by one of the hinges.

Bamatt-I've read on another thread that people solve the squeal issue using graphite powder lube on the folding joints. Mine only squeals when I've left the top down for a few days. I'm not too concerned at this point.
