engine keeps stalling when idle or stopped
so when i start my 2005 r52 after its been off for a couple hours it idles at about 1200
as soon as i start driving, whenever i hit the clutch and keep it depressed for too long it stalls if i switch gears fast enough itll keep going but has trouble going uphill id say it stalls after going under 800rpm ive had misfires for a while and changing the spark plugs, spark plug wires, and the ignition coils havent helped i was reading that it may be the fuel injectors are bad i wanted to get some more opinions on what it could be thanks in advance! |

I'd love to get the current codes... Do you have a way to pull them for us?! It sounds like the throttle, but yours is acting differently than mine did... It could also be the fuel pump, but the idle at 1200 is curiously not a fuel pump trait... Let us know please!! Cheers!! |

the only trouble codes are misfires :(
Are you able to test the fuel pressure at the rail? You're missing one or both of the things that will give you a misfire... fuel and or spark... timing light or a testing plug could do two things.... could see how hot your spark is and if you pull the plug on the cylinder you test the spark, it should be saturated with fuel since it didn't get burned off... no spark or no fuel should point you in the direction to go.... Good luck! Cheers! |
Two things can cause this also: Throttle body failure and accelerator module.
