Blower motor for 2006 R52

There appears to be 2 different blower motors and 2 different blower resistors for the AC for my year model. I know the correct resistor (thread on another site). But the blower motor I'm not so sure of. There is a 2 pin, which is cheap and plentiful. And a 3 pin, which is hard to find, and hideously expensive. Our mini has "auto climate control", which appears to matter for the resistor. Does anyone know if the 2pin or 3pin blower is the correct one for the Auto climate control? With the way things have gone for me lately, I'm assuming it's the 3pin hideously expensive unit.

The best thing to do is crawl under the dash and look at the connector. But more than likely it's just the 2 pin motor as I think I've only ever seen one car that had the 4pin.
2 pin
