looking for soft top rain gutter

the soft top of my R52 has the rubber rain gutter sewn into it and where the top retracts to the sunroof position the rubber rain gutter has cracked in two places and part of fell out
i would like to glue in a replacement patch to make it look better. i have already done this with one piece that i was lucky enough to find on the floor of my garage

i was wondering if anyone knows where to buy just the rain gutter or has replaced their top and would sell me a piece of the gutter out of their old top

thanks

ECS, IMO is the go-to vendor on anything to do with the convertible top.

Pretty sure he will chime in.

I am here Thanks for the mention.

The rain gutter is stitched in on the top, then there is the other gutter near the front in the seal:

A picture will clear things up as the gutter I am thinking of is at the back.

Ok, yes thats the sewn in peice, no part for the except a new top. I think the 2010 is a little bit different in design. I would either replace the whole top or try to get a convertible top replacement place to fix it. Any place that does tops or custom interiors should be able to make something and fix it. Haartz and Webasto make the tops for MINI.

New tops here: Black, Blue, and Green. Just to get an idea of prices.

for what it is worth

recently took our 15 - R59 in for a pre paid oil change and dealer noticed those 'drip rails' on the canvas tp were cracked

"we can replace those, under warranty" ... note I did NOT mention this 'issue' to the dealer

I asked: you can replace just the plastic part and NOT mess with the whole top? .... I've been a rag top owner for a LONG time ... I don't mess with top replacement until it is necessary.

Dealer rep ASSURED me they could replace just the drip rail part (sewn into the top edge over the window)

OK - do it ......

several days later after a call when they say "we only have one drip rail in stock and need to order the other one" ..... I pick up the car and LO .... I have a new, poorly installed top .....

Why did you install a new top, I told you I did not want this?????

Oh, we always told you this was a new top ......

Top was POORLY installed and I'm now on #3 ....... they are already trying again

Why do I post?

Don't mess with the top unless it stops "working" or leaks ..... the drip rail is stupid cosmetics. I'd planned to cut it off but allowed the dealer to talk me into work that has gone WRONG.
