Help identifying the Slave clutch

This is what is mounted on my transmission

I ordered a replacement but this is what I got, this is a plastic and the one attached to my transmission is made of metal !
Can that be interchanged or I need to order the correct one?
I’m not the original owner, so idk what they had done with this engine !

I was able to find the right part, it seems that my car has an r50 transmisión !
I’m wondering what type on engine this thing has. Is there any specific place besides labels to make sure what kind of beast I’m dealing with?

r50 is the base first gen mini cooper, r53 is the s, and r52 signifies the first gen convertible both base and s

What I’m confuse, my car chasis it’s 2006 but it’s transmission is a r50!
am I right? I thought I have an R52!

So can a 2006 base convertible have a r50 transmisión?
or obviously the transmission and engine got swaped out?

I need to know so I know which model I should order parts!

R50 is the designation for the non-supercharged base model hardtop with a 5 speed manual (or cvt).

R53 is for the supercharged “s” model hardtop with a 6 speed manual (or auto).

R52 only designates that the car is a cabrio/convertible. It can have either of the drivetrains above......sounds like you have a base non-supercharged with a 5speed? If that’s the case, you’d generally want to order engine/trans parts for an R50 when in doubt.

Thank you, yes my car it’s 5 speed non-turbo base convertible.
it seems that it has a transmission of a R50, because I ordered the slave clutch of a R52 but it’s not the same, the slave clutch on the r50 are made of metal.

i would have to return it and get the correct one.

Thanks for your time!

you ordered the slave of an r53 which would fit an r52 if it had the supercharged engine. its kind of tricky to order parts for the r52, if you have a non supercharged r52 than you can select r50 when researching drivetrain parts
