Muffler question

Instead of buying a complete exhaust system, can I just replace the mufflers with new Magnaflow one's?

Yes, but be prepared for some car crafting. Also, depending on your choice these have a "hollow" echo similar to a Mustang.

What do you want it to sound like?
Many systems that are welded up drone or buzz at cruising speed....takes some trial by error by most to get it right.

I was just wondering, instead of paying the $1000 for a whole magnaflow system why not just replace the mufflers.

Cause a week (or a month or a year)after you replace the muffler, the pipes will fail ...
It will turn into a constant patch job...
Which muffler is bad...the resistor is usually the one that fails....it can be cut off, and bypassed...called a one-ball. Lighter, and slightly louder..popular mod.

Good point... I live in the land of salted roads (Minnesota) So a whole new system is the way to go. Now the question is? Invidia of Magnaflow!!

Like the milltek and they have one foe the r52 with the need bump 3/4 the way back to clear the additional chassis brace. Nice sound, the one I would choose over the JCW exhaust. Non res if you want it louder. Good luck on whatever you decide.

Free ship ! Lifetime warranty.

Are you still looking for an exhaust? I have a catback magnaflow for a Clubby I'm selling.

Resonator

Beware...I cut out my resonator and the little cat just before the resonator and ran a straight pipe back to the stock muffler...it was way to loud and sounded like a fart in an aluminum can. I have since put a small resonator in its place. Still no deep tone but I am hoping a magnaflow muffler may help.

The JCW sound kit exhaust and milltek contain a resonator on the justa cooper. But have a deeper tone. Yea on the cooper exhaust if you cut the res it can get loud, also the JCW sound kit and the Milltek have no drone. Good luck on the magnaflow mod, hope you can get that sound you want. Yea the fart can noise can make it sound like a autozone modded muffler.

JCW sound kit exhaust, I have the full JCW sound kit ( thats NLA now )
