Purple Haze MCS Cabrio model

I never thought that I would come across a model of my MINI as it is a rare breed in color, but someone found this for me recently and thought I'd pass it along to those few who have a 1st Gen MCS Cabrio. The listing says that it's blue, but it's actually PH. I bought it and am extremely pleased! BTW, I contacted the seller and explained the color listing error on their part.

It's very small, but extremely detailed, considering it's size; 1 1/2" long, 5/8" wide, and 1/2" high.

Funny that you should say that; the guy who found this for me mentioned the same thing, as he was wishing he could find a DS to match his car. The aero kit might just be pushing it a bit, though.

I guess there really aren't too many, who come around here anyway, with a PH cabrio.

wow i thought i was the only fool that bought PH for my mini.

funny story, i was actually stationed overseas in germany with the army when i bought my mini. i took a trip to the netherlands one weekend without permission from my co. while sightseeing i dropped my car off in a parking lot and as i was coming back to head home i saw my mini, cab/s PH racing away. I'm like, wtf? what are the chances that someone was driving my exact car. i almost peed myself, but luckily someone was driving an exact same model as I was!

Sorry you think that way of yourself; I don't.

I have MINI dealerships calling and wanting me to trade in my car, due to the color. I know someone who works at a MINI dealership who tells me that people are always coming in asking about getting that color and are regretfully turned down. I've had "friends" who have told me that they had wished that PH was available when they purchased their MINI.

Glad to hear that yours wasn't really stolen.

didnt mean to make it sound like i dont apprecieate the color, i guess its more that you don't see that color much even when it was available.

Hi
Driving a "black eye purple " (=purple haze) MCS cabrio here too. I've only once spotted another one purple MCS-cabrio here in Netherlands.

The minimodels are available in a number of sizes. I've got it in the sizes 1:43 1:12 1:78 and of course the 1:1.
That 1:78 size, i have only seen once ever (and bought it immediately).
