Is there any CAI's that are legal in Maryland??

It appears that the Alta and K&N CAI is not CARB approved in Maryland, but needs to be. I have a 2007 MC S Cabrio with automatic.

The new dealer Rockville can get me a JCW CAI for $481 (not including installation).

Any help out there from anyone in Maryland???

If I did install an Alta or K&N, would they fail me at emissions testing??

I don't know about fitment, etc, but I know the filter on my aFe CAI has a "CARB APPROVED" (or whatever.) sticker on it.

Why would you care about CARB "California Air Resources Board" in MD?

They won't fail you for an intake.

I've never had my hood popped open for emissions in MD. They plug in to the OBDII port and scan. No codes and all ready monitors good to go then you pass. They might bring the mirror around and check for cats, but I've never even had them do that.
