R52 Anyone else have one of these covers?
Anyone else have one of these covers?
Wonder how they hold up in the long run and if there are any reported problems from using them. I found them on a link here somewhere so I know someone else with a Convertible has used one here. Don't find any recent feedback from searching.
I really like the thing so far. Does have a place for the Antenna to feed through. But goes on easier with a stubbie. Easy and quick enough. But I have had it only a couple of days. I was more interested in protecting the fabric from Sun this Summer.

Here is the tunnel for the Antenna. I have the shorty on now so it doesn't show it coming through. But there is a nylon grommet up there with a hole for the normal antenna to pass through and its not difficult to so either.

I have one. It will eventually start leaving slight spiderwebs on your pillars due to sliding it over the top. I use mine everyday to prevent birds from leaving gifts on my roof. I'll take the slight spiderwebbing over sun-fried bird poop. If you use it everyday like I have, it will last about 2 years. I got mine replaced via warranty as it began tearing along a few seams.
Hope that helps!

Good to know. The spider web issue was exactly the reason I don't like full covers. I figured this would be affecting less surface. Well.. for 59 bucks delivered it can't suck too much!
I have been folding it in half on the top. Then opening it and trying to avoid sliding it down but I think its inevitable that wind will cause rubbing anyway. It seems a issue with any cover I have ever tried. Normally don't like them.
I planned to use it just a few days here and there.

I have one also and I love it. It does save the top from bird poo and it's easy to get on and take off. My only concern is the hook on the back (for attaching to the car). I don't like to use it because I'm worried that it will leave scratches. BeLikeAnthony, how are you handling this?
I have one and used it all last summer. I have not noticed the spiderwebbing yet. As for the hook I pull it down to the license plate frame and thus no scratching. As for the little pocket for the antenna, I cut it down and hemmed it as I needed it to go over my antenna ball (one has one's priorities). My sister has one for her Coupe and loves it as well. Every once in a while I toss it in the dryer on air to get the light surface dust/dirt out of it so as not to scratch the car. So far so good. Folks at my office call it the car's "Lovie Blankie" and insist that I am tucking it in. Hey, works for me. I keep one of those California dusters in the car to take the dust off the car when I remove the cover on those windy days when the dust sifts through onto the windows.

Yeah, that. I'll have to leave my car out in the sun at work and even with tinted windows I worry about my Wet Okoles fading - not to mention the bird poop (although there aren't any trees around the lot at work).
I am interested, would be useful for when I put mine in storage for the winter.
I have a cabrio cab cover for sale, excellent condition, used twice. Asking $40, shipped in the US. It's easy to use and keeps the interior cool. It also protects your top from acts of nature (bird poo, tree sap, uv rays, etc.). Go to:
http://www.mossmini.com/Shop/ViewPro...14&SortOrder=2
to see the cover. Please note that the antenna opening is at the front of my cover since it is for a cabrio.
Please send me a PM if interested. Thanks.

This is the one I purchased, same as the OP. It works great, and not expensive at all, @ $49. Because of my location I paid an arm and a leg for shipping, but it is worth it.
I bought it primarily to keep the sun from baking the top, since I am forced to park outside in the hot Hawaiian sun during work hours. And believe me, that sun is killer.
