2006 S convt 8k miles Whats a deal ???

I have found a Mini S convert. 6spd orange/blue, Leather/cloth seats, Pretty much only the basics. Just turned 8k miles. Original owner with all paper work. Car was $27k and change new. What would be a great deal on this car? Not what the KBB or NADA says but what would be a steal ? Thanks

Hard question.... in reality, that's a fairly rare car, that is in high demand (hot orange is a retired color, no new convertibles for several more months, MINIs in high demand right now anyway....) I bet there's SOMEONE out there who would pay more than the NEW MSRP for that car right now... not what you want to hear... and hopefully (for you) the seller doesn't know that...

As the owner of an HO, I wouldn't let it go for less than $30K, but mine has all options or most, and only 5K. No, it's not for sale, even if $30K was offered..well maybe...Sorry not really helping you with your question!!!

just thoughts

As I like to keep my eye on the market and I was dismayed that I missed being able to spec HO by 3 weeks, I would consider anything under 25k a good deal with anything under 24k hovering around steal status. Then again, I already have a MSC 'vert so I am not as motivated of a buyer as other may be. These motivated buyers are likely to drive the price up as others have stated and if you know of any let me know b/c I am not necessarily opposed to "trading" my DS for HO

i just bought a 2005 HO MCSc with 30k miles for $23,500 on ebay, sight unseen. Now, mind you, my transaction is not what you should do....There are a few HOs on Ebay, but not with so few miles! I would happily pay $25k+ and yes, maybe even close to $30k for a mint car!

If this is THE car, then go for it. The resale value on these guys is phenomenal.

How on earth do you keep the miles so low? I want to drive all the time... I was pulling a trailer today to the dump wishing I could do it in my Mini.

cxg... It's not my daily driver and I also have a 2nd vehicle that I drive most of the time. I work from home, so neither vehicle racks up alot of mileage. I do drive the HO, but seems only on weekends and days of beautiful weather, like this time of year!!

Ya the Hot Orange is a Nice color. I paid 24 Grand for a 2008 R52 S w/o leather but with sport, winter pack, cold pack and 5,500 miles Astro black. Is the H/O color worth really that much? seems like I should get a repaint

Remember your 24k deal is unique since you are overseas with a US spec MINI. I have the feeling that you could make a nice profit if you could magically send it over without cost. Though it isn't HO so that knocks a couple grand of my offer

Agreed...after a long search, I found an '06 with 8300 on it last year. I've since added 18,000 miles and I store it for the winter.

To answer the original question...it really depends on the market and the pinch the seller is in. Mine KBB'd for 34K at the time, low miles, fully loaded...but the seller needed to get rid of it, so I was able to get it for $26. HO, while maybe saught after by some, is a turn off for others, as is a manual transmission. Low ball it...see what happens.

Yes, I have free shipping on both my MINIs. From BMW/MINI and Military. I plan on sending the Hard top over to America

I just bought an 05 Hyper Blue MCSc with 12k miles Sport ,winter pkg, leather and the steering wheel with all the little buttons. It was a trade in at an Audi dealer. They listed it for 26.5K I got it for 23.5K. I thought I got a good deal and that's what counts. It still has the new car smell.
