I have decided on this aero kit (zeemax) with the 18" x 7.5 4-100 HRE 890r rims...inside spokes black satin and silver brushed aluminum lip..

it will match my carbon fibre hood scoop and other carbon accents..

appreciate all your recent comments...negative or positive

HRE's are pretty wheels, not for track use.

I like them, have had a set. They look great.

Wheels and Wheel Hardware are maintainance items. If not inspected often and replaced before issues develop then they are subject to failure. The track finds stresses and problems long before the street.

I'm not planning on racing my "carbon", just a weekend car.

my car is Dark Silver. Wheels are satin black centers with Chili Red lip. I was saying you should do yours satin black in the center and get HRE to color match your unique OEM paint (White Silver they call it?).

very few two piece wheels are light. the HRE C20's are however......18lbs in 18x7.5 I think?
My Volk are 18.5 pounds I think I was reading the specs somewhere and I remember seeing those numbers, they are also two piece.

I'm not trying to say anything against the owners of these wheels but it just doesn't add up! There are tons of wheels that are stronger, lighter and better looking for the same or considerably less money.

I can't give any references on the water fact because of my work firewall(amazingly in my favor NAM isn't blocked)
WOW, I never knew that about HREs

Yeah that kept me away, It's really a shame because some of their wheels are beautiful. But I ended up with BBS and haven't had an issue besides stripping the finish off for powdercoating.
