What's in your "Top-Down" Soundtrack?

I know all of you have that song that comes on when you're driving on that perfect day, on the perfect road with the top down that just makes you say, "yeah, life is good." I think we all need to share our favorite tunes so that the soundtrack is always right for our motoring experiences. I tend to like Jazz, Electronic, or something that doesn't quite fit a category, but there are those tried and true Rock tunes that fit the moment too.
I'll start with a couple:
Pursuit of Happiness by Weekend Players
Back on the Chain Gang by The Pretenders
Colour by Atjazz
What's in your iPod?

Steppin' Out, Free Ride, and Africa are already on my driving list - good tunes (it's even hard to get mad at bad drivers when you have the right music)

Lol Ridingfar, I can just imagine you playing that while swooping down on some blue haired old lady driving her buick at 15mph under the speed limit!

Low Rider - excellent cruising tune

Ok, yesterday I listened to:

Boston - Third Stage
Queen - various stuff
Aerosmith - (Sweet Emotion brings back some good memories  )
Bach and some Handel Water Music (try it while driving slowly through a tree covered road  )
Sublime - a few fav songs in there including Caress Me Down

Yeah, it was a sunny day, lots of time to listen and drive with the top down.

Yeah. I have lots of Donald Fagan, including Nightfly as well as Steely Dan. Love 'em.

sshaynak May 19, 2008 06:08 PM

I think Steely Dan is a love-em-or-hate-em group, with nothing in between. I've always loved them, but some of my friends constantly give me hell for it.

SPF ZERO May 19, 2008 07:46 PM

Well, I'm still about 6-8 weeks away from having somethign to drive, but here in Colorado I think you'd have to include Rocky Mountain Way by Joe Walsh!

sshaynak May 19, 2008 07:50 PM

You have much more patience than I do SPF Zero - I went to the dealer intending to order, and drove off the lot 3 hours later. Delayed gratification? Nah, maybe later...
