I FOUND HIM... HE'S PERFECT.

Don't know why this one is a him but I found him. For those of you that have been following my saga, I found this.

http://images.autotrader.com/images/..._A.562x421.jpg

He's PERFECT... not a mark, scratch, NOTHING. Has all the features I want (still no foglamps...lol) 10K miles, 2006 with clear bra and stripes installed. $22,500

The car is FLAWLESS...

Put a deposit on him, waiting for my check from Capital One. She (Hot Orange) will be going back to the dealer in Colorado. It's a shame cause she's definitely a 9 out of 10. I'm just looking for an 11.

Anyway, waiting till the dealer picks up the Hot Orange so I can get a lower interest rate for the Gray. (the interest rate is higher on a second loan with the same company... until I pay off the first)

Anyway... can't wait, I'm ABSOLUTELY THRILLED.

Thanks to you all that put up with my posts...

Mark

Gonna have to change your screen name now.
Congrats on finding an 11!

Sorry about your horrible experience with the Hot Orange car (I love, love, love that color!). I guess I missed the part where you decided to send it back.

This car looks nice, though. It's got the chrono pack like mine does, and I like having the speedo over the steering wheel (although I only look at the gas gauge on the other part!).

Good luck working it all out!

Thanks guys (and girls)

The Hot Orange car is a great car. I'm just disappointed that what it was advertised as and the fact it still has a minor scratch in it still remains.

Tis okay, I'm sure the gray mini will make me VERY HAPPY. I was THRILLED when I found it. Except for the 10K miles on him, he's just like any car that sits on the showroom floor.

Thanks again,

Mark

Congrats on your new Cabrio. Your first mod should be a Light-n-Sight. Kind of like the old prism traffic viewers from the 50's. Sorry I can't find the link. Maybe someone here will chime in.

Hope to see you and yours soon.

Sad to hear about your hot orange debacle. Hope this one works out.

I love my chrono pack too! I only wish there was still a digital speed readout to accompany it like center speedo cars have.

Keep us updated on the grey.

Love mine.

Seeing as how most of us are crazy MINI owners, I for one, understand your plight. I am very happy to hear that you found one you can be very happy with. Bummer you can't keep your baby now, but at least you can find another cousin!

Good luck! Enjoy:thumbsup:

Awesome that you found a cabrio you're happy with  Just in time for spring!

Sorry to hear about all your woes, but it looks like it's working out. Just a bummer you put the time and effort into detailing the HO only to return it. The gray looks great in the pics.

So have you thought about a new name? you could go with orangecrushed :)

I'm still working on naming him. I've never named a car before and I absolutely couldn't come up with one for the Hot Orange. "She" was still nameless. Perhaps that was a sign...lol.

I'm still looking for a name for him.

Mark

PS. Wasn't there a website at one time where you could type in two or three names and the computer would automatically put one together for you?

Here's a name generator...

Thanks Donna. The Hot Orange is still a great car, I'm just being particularily anal, in fact, I almost thought of just keeping it and selling it myself. I'd just be more upfront with the options and condition than the car dealer was.

Can't wait to pick him up. I thought I was getting a higher interest rate because I had a loan from the Hot Orange Mini but yesterday, I found out that the interest rate is 3% higher because I bought it from an individual...

That's ridiculous.

BUT, on the bright side, I'm going to go ahead and pick him up and refinance later.

Cya'll on the road soon...
