Dont know if anyone has seen this, but when I went to MINI HQ last weekend they showed us these stickers for your MINI they are coming out with. Basically if you remember World War 2 fighter planes, evertime they got a kill they would put a paint a little decal of a swastika or plane for everyone they killed. Well MINI is coming out with stickers like that for the side of your MINI except they are in the shapes of SUVs and sports cars! What a great idea!

It's nothing new... several of us who have had Japanese cars hit us have made up kill flags styled after the WWII Japanese flag for our Land Rovers. I had a Toyota turn left in front of me several years ago and I couldn't stop. Hit them at about 25 miles an hour. I drove away and the Toyota was totaled. We (myself and the kids in the car) got the scare of my life.

Turns out they were partying... marijuana and all. I ended up with a bad neck again. (Got rear-ended by a bluehair in a Caddy years ago when I was in a Porsche 924S. That car was 7 years old and only had 42,000 miles on it and was perfect. *sniff* She was drinking by the way. DUI. )

A buddy pealed the rear quarter panel off of a Nissan with his Series III. I printed him a flag for his truck too.

I had a Ford cut me off and I took off his rear quarter too. That took off my front bumper cap and dented the fender slightly. I used his insurance money to put an proper steel bumper on the front. No US flag for that one. That wouldn't be right.

Also had a cow Buick impale itself on my rear bumper. Big mistake. I have a steel Kaymar that there. It let a huge dent in their grill but they drove off. No damage to the LR. No US flag either.

There's my driving record for the last 15 years.

Guess you'll never consider me to be politically correct 'eh?

the "kills" flags is an old Import Racer thing... thanks MINI! Now if they had stickers of people... like a nun, or an old lady crossing the street or even a baby carriage... HAHAHAHA now that would be funny!
If we made our own Kill Flags.. I think they should be BRAND Logos with an X over them.

MAN, I'm glad AZ is a long way from MN.

You must have ticked off a witch and gotten a bad spell put on you or something.

Nah... the first one was in Atlanta. The last couple in PHX. People in the office have already told me I'll have to change my driving style. Agree...bad karma or something. Normally, I really just poke along! Never in a hurry since LR's aren't fast by any measurement!

"It's nothing new... several of us who have had Japanese cars hit us have made up kill flags styled after the WWII Japanese flag for our Land Rovers. "

I don't think MINI is trying to promote "Hitting" someone. You place a sticker when you blow there doors off. The last thing I want to do is hit something.
