So why were the 2006 MINI's displayed? I thought that the 2007's would have been shown by this time.

The 2007 was not schedlued to premeire at the LA Auto Show.

Boy MINI really should have taken advantage of this show being in a hot MINI market area. They have the cars and they could have justified 1 or 2.

Because Detroit is a bigger show with more coverage than L.A.. The L.A. show in the future be more important as it branches more away from the Detroit show (being earlier).
