Don't worry Lmini, we know the CVT will outrun most of the 5-speeds and S's on here. Why? 99% of people can't shift gears properly!

2minis, I realize you and L do little else but kibbitz on this site so your opinion in this matter means little to me.

 

i think its great how art can stir up such strong feelings in people
but again it is just art.. lets not fight about it.
its like going too a painting gallery where the particular artist paints all women. and men get upset cause they feel excluded. its there for visual enjoyment. but if you dont like it thats fine. theres no point in getting all upset about it.

i do agree with lmini when it comes to talking down about someones car. thats just not cool. but the logo doesnt do that. only stovepipe

i don't own a MINI (yet) and as the logo implies that the shifter **** is for a MINI, it excludes me, a non-MINI owner. i am offended, and demand that the new logo be changed to a generic car, preferably ugly in shape, so as not to exclude anyone here.

but what about those who don't drive....?



but in all serious, i like the new logo... it looks very cool, and better than the old one, in my opinion.

IT'S JUST A GRAPHIC, FOLKS!!!

OK, Lauren called to tell me about this thread, and now here I am checking it out. I was told of some things said to her that were a bit unappropriate, and all I can say is that I am glad that a moderator erased that particular post before I could see it. Yes... you're talking to a touchy fiance here who doesn't take kindly to people calling my future wife nasty names.

Back to the topic at hand, I see nothing wrong with the logo. I like it, it's new, it's different. Sure, not everyone drives a manual on here, but here's my take on it: I see a manual shift ****/pattern, I think driving. When I think driving, I think fun. When I think fun, I think MINI! (ok, so not really, but see where I'm going with this?)

Keep the new logo! It's always good to change it up a bit.
