Hi Everyone!

New guy here.....Mini wannabe!!

Anyhow,.....why don't you see a lot of black MC's and/or hear a lot about them?

Is it because of the "history" of the car and that black wasn't popular ??

Just wondering....any and all comments welcome..

Thanks!

I too have a CB/CB Cooper ... but i haven't slowed down long enough to take pictures ...

I built mine on-line before MINIs were in the country over a year ago (with Tartan Red interior) and loved the way it turned out! ... the dealer liked the idea enough to order a second one and it was on the lot when i picked mine up ...

There's actually quite alot of them in our club. Probablly 15% is black. That's a healthy average. In fact the only other color that we have more of is Darksilver, but strangely none are the same! We've got DS/B, DS/W, DS/DS and varying interior treatments.

It's all good.

My S is black with a white top. I had actually made arrangements with a paintshop to do the top to match. Then, in a flash of insight, I realized that there are just too many all black cars running around. The two tone paint helps set the car off as something special.

Another Blk/Blk owner here!

I picked mine up in late Feb, and I agree with the others that it is a PAIN to keep clean in winter (especially the back). No regrets, but I am going to see if mudflaps cut down on the dirt getting kicked up.

I also think it looks amazing when it is clean and waxed...the black is really glossy, and sets of all the chrome really well. I do wish I had gone with a white roof, but thought that it might not look as good with the sunroof...

If it's what you love, I say go for it! It's your car!

And Xeon--I think your checker pattern rocks!

My dealer had a Jet Black/white on the floor and it looked soooooo goooood... so I ordered mine up Jet Black/White with White 7 hole wheels... and anthricite/black leatherett interior.... Mine is due early may... I can't wait...

My first MINI was black, untill I crashed it and then it was kind of brown (mud) and green (grass) and a bit silver (?)
I now own a ds/b mcs but if I were to change it I would go for an all black mcs with the aero kit so the whole thing was black. Add tinted windows and maybe tinted rear lights and you'll have yourself one rude ride.

I have a May 9th build on a Black/Black Mini S, with lapis blue leather. It looks sweet with this combo. ( changed my mind from my sig.)
I do have a question for all of the ALL BLACK owners though.
Do you still get all of the thumbs ups, headturning, and questions as the contrasting colour Minis do?
