Preston Tucker's MINI armored combat vehicle with machine gun turret
 
I watched a documentary this morning on the History Channel about Preston Tucker...he designed a military combat vehicle, armored and with machine guns and anti-aircraft cannons in a gun turret, and in the footage it really looked like a slightly oversized MINI. It was designed for the government of Belgium to repel a possible Nazi invasion, but alas it evidently was not produced in time to save poor little Belgium from being overrun. They wanted a vehicle smaller and more manueverable than a standard tank.

Here is an address for a picture of this vehicle but in the video it looked more like a MINI than this picture shows.

Preston was one cool dude. The US military eventually consulted with Tucker in designing the US Air Force's gun turrets on our planes in WWII
