Can't figure out where white marks coming from???

ok, I did a search and didn't find anyone else with this problem so I am stumped. On my driver door there are marks coming out in the upholstery. They are randon, and look kind of like if you kicked the material with your shoes and it left a whitish mark. I tried scrubbing it out and it's like it is inside the material so it doesn't come off. Any ideas what this is? Is it possible a mold got in there and is growing out? I'm taking it in tomorrow to be looked at. I've had the car almost a year and don't bang the door material so I know it's not me.

Hey Fitch,

I think you posted in the wrong area, since I am going to safely assume that you don't own a clubman.

it was when my daughter use the car. When she got in the car she sprayed some suntan screen that comes in a can on her arms ... but missed a bit and it didn't show anything at first and then a few days later it started coming out of the door surface a powdery looking white but I couldn't get it off. The guys at the dealership took it off somehow. She isn't driving the car anymore.
