MTTS Albuquerque - Betcha can't do this with a Hummer
Today's session of Mini Takes the States was amazing. Hot-air ballooning is big here in NM, so the Sandia Mini dealership put on the display shown below, right next to I-25 so the morning commuters could watch. Try this with an H2! About 100 Mini crews met up at the dealership, ate donut-holes, raffled off a set of wheels for the local children's hospital, and then we were off... Excellent job by the dealership and by the NM Mini Club.
:thumbsup: The Albuquerque PD's motorcycle squad got us off to an excellent start, clearing the way so we could get the whole formation onto the frontage road, throught the Big-I, and onto I-40. An amazing time was had by all, zipping across town on I-40, driving the twisty mountain road up & down Sandia Peak, and following scenic Route 14 up to Santa Fe. Everyone in our little group of 12 (but us) then turned toward Las Vegas NM & Amarillo, and we did lunch in SF and returned home to Abq. --doug https://www.northamericanmotoring.co.../Balloon_3.jpg |
