Hey what do you ladies and gentelmen think of making a night of the opening of the movie The Italian Job. From some of the threads I am reading lots of people are planning on doing something when it opens. I think it is in May sometime so it gives us enough time to make the plans. We can all meet in a central location, eat dinner and then catch the movie and afterwards go to some place for drinks or coffee after to talk about the movie. Not necessary to go to the opening night but it may be cool if we can get all the MINI's on a Saturday night and park all together at the theater. Or go to the drive-in at the Swap Shop drive-in at Ft. Lauderdale. What do you all think?? We can talk more about this at the meeting in April. Just think this could be a good time. Let me know your thoughts.

 

I had an original Mini Cooper "S" (Morris 1275CC) back in the 60's when the original Italian Job was released. Great movie and with the exception of Bullet, or was that a joint (being the operative word in the 60's) tie, the greatest car chase ever.

Although I would love to participate in your FLL event I would like to see something organized on a more local level here in West TN. So, begging your pardon, anyone interested?

Sounds like a great idea! Count us in! We will be leaving for North Carolina on 5-23, however. Dinner, movie and drinks sounds like my kind of evening out !!
