Anyone else like to drive barefoot? I love too. It's about the only way I drive my MINI anymore, you really feel her when your barefoot. But, I do keep a pair of flip-flops at my side just incase.

I enjoy driving barefoot too.......what a free feeling......I guess! I keep my shoes in the car for when I get out tho. Any kind of naked thing is fun tho (in A Mini).

Funny...I was just talking to a coworker about this. A few weeks before I got my Mini, I was road tripping back to Ohio from Oklahoma and got used to driving barefoot and really felt like I had more control.

When I switched back to wearing sandals or shoes I felt like I had sheets of plywood on my feet all fumbly and whatnot.

Too much of a tenderfoot here, though I agree with the naked part! Gromit will see our favorite nude beach many times in his life!

Barefoot all the time. My flip-flops fit just in front of the seat and stay out of the way of the peddles. It's the only way to drive a Mini

I drive barefoot whenever I can... My MINI prefers it. :)

I drive barefoot when I plan on driving more than 30miles, otherwise I will just keep the sandals on.

It's kinda like playing footsie with your MINI :lol:

If im wearing flip flops then ill drive bearfoot. Its the only way!
Also, driving bearfoot on long roadtrips helps keep me awake...seriously!:thumbsup:

Barefoot all the time here. Fliflops go in front of the seat too, just watch out for very heavy braking, otherwise, the flipflop slides under the brake, and you won't be able to heavy brake anymore. heh. Barefoot driving rocks. Barefoot racing rocks too. I race barefoot when I can get away with it.

I dont know about you guys... but my flip flops get stuck when I drive with them on....

Being barefoot is the only way to go! (in and out of the car!)

I too drive barefoot, but interestingly I prefer to wear shoes on long trips. But for local home-to-store trips, off go the flip-flops!

I feel cool when i'm wearing my racer shoes :grin: otherwise barefoot is cool on a flip-flop, 100+ sun kind of day. Oh and its better with the lower vents on. :nod:

I test drove a MINI with platform flip-flops on to make sure I could do it, so by golly I'm driving with 'em ON! :nod:

Egad...I had no idea how many closet barefooters there were! Obviously I am missing out on some secret, subversive, and sensual pleasure...and that will not stand!:wink: :nod: :thumbsup:

I've done barefoot a few times, just socks even more; definately get better feedback from the pedals and little more precise control, but it just isn't practical for me to do regularly.

It's fun, and don't get caught up in the "it's illegal" hoopla. Here's some reading material on the subject :)

I always drive barefoot, even in the dead of winter, shoes go off when key turns on!!!

Ha! I wear flips flops everyday and sometimes I drive barefoot. I really like doing it at night through the city, with all the windows open and some awesome music. The only thing is if traffic gets bad, I feel too afraid my foot is going to slip off the petals, so then I put my shoes back on. But yeah, I didn't realize so many people did it!

Its funny. I just learned that I can drive my mini in something other than my UGGS and shoes. I tried driving with flip flops, but at first I had problems. My left foot flip flop kept on getting stuck when I step on the clutch. So now, I drive bare foot for the clutch, and my right flip flop on. Looks kinda funny, but thats the only way I can heel toe. My flip flops are quite bulky and spongy...made from "Floaties",....the same stuff used on boats:nod: So I can heel-toe no problem, but I can seem to heel-toe bare footed:sad: Well, at least not yet. My feet has always been on the narrow side:razz:
