New member-We (the wife & I) are patiently

waiting for our new addition to the family. The wait is somewhat exasperating. My car is nearing the end of production (week 28) and we have been told to expect it in 4 weeks or so. I am prepared, I think, for a 6 week wait. After that I will likely be pulling hair out (what little I have). We have always purchased cars right off the lot...and since we are not trading this go-round, we opted for ordering exactly what we wanted. Unfortunately, her '02 BMW 325i sold very quickly so I'm stuck behind the wheel of a company truck (03 Tundra) for a month, while she tools around in my 04 330i. Dang it! The car will be driven to and from work by my wife and I will get seat time whenever we are together. Luckily, we are together a lot. We selected the options together, so our Mini will easily satisfy the needs of both of us. We ordered:

Chili Red MCS
White Top & Mirrors
Auto Tranny (I didn't know she braked with her left foot until after we were married...Dang-it!)
Premium
Cold Weather
Sport (no Goodyear RS-As)
Convenience
Silver dash
Gray Leatherette (the Dawgs will hurt the Leather)
Arm Rest
HK
iPod

I hope to some day "add to" as much as I have already learned from this forum.
Have a good week, all!

Welcome, sounds like you've selected a sweet ride!!! It will be worth the wait when you finally see your baby, sit in the seat, and start it up the first time. Congratulations.

Welcome to NAM, HBWT! Great specs and Dozer is very handsome! Listen, in 2002, we had to wait longer than 8 weeks to get our order in, then another 3 months to delivery! And it was even longer for an MCS! 6 weeks is a breeze and if you hang out here, the time will zoom by and soon you will be motoring!

Don't worry, it builds character.

It just struck me what kind of dog you have! A bulldog! What a perfect MINI pet. Since the MINI has that wide Bulldog stance.

Love your dog. Have had 3 Boxers over the last 22 yrs. Currently have 1 Boxer and 1 Beagle.

Here's the question. Will you let him ride in the Mini?

Welcome HBWT! I LOVE the name and, as noted above, how appropriate. After trying to create the perfect MINI for over a year, my 8 week wait was a piece of cake! Haven't stopped smilin since.
