Almost ready to order... :)

I'm going to be ordering an 06 soon. Just need (want) some opinions on my specs:

MINI Cooper S
RG/S or PW/B or CR/S or PS/B
Cold Weather
Premium
Sport

Rear Fog
Chrome Line Interior/Piano black dash (maybe)/Black Leatherette
Chrono Pack
LSD (for the MINI)
Alarm
Rear saddlebag (I've got a container problem ) How useful is this really?

I'm debating on the H/K... I'm not a real audiophile so I need to check this out at the dealer. I don't like to listen to real loud music, so maybe the stock will be fine for me.

Also, not real sure on the color. I've got a PS/B right now, and it's okay (Don't tell my MINI I said that). I would LOVE to have EB, but I know I can't . Leaning toward PW/B, but I'm not sure! How bad does it look dirty?

After the fact, I'm going to add:
Tint
Custom Stripes (still working on design)
Clear Bra
Custom Whalen
GbT
Aftermarket in dash Nav, looking at the AVIC-N2 or 3... I like that I can put it away when not in use.

Can I get the black mesh grill with the regular bumper or is that exclusive to the Aero kit? I really like the look of that. Pics appreciated, but I am looking at the PW club thread, so may find one there.

Oh, can I get 16's even with the sport package or am I stuck with 17s? I ask because my MINI now has 16 inch runflats and I think the ride is a little rough. Would it be better with 16 inch regular tires? Or would 17 inch regular tires be okay too? I'm not real knowledgable on tires.

Too many questions. I know how helpful y'all are though, and that this is the best place to ask!
MAHALO!

It looks like you would be getting the 17" wheels with the sport package, I didn't want the 17's so I ordered everything that came in the sport package separately. That way I get the 16" wheels and I think it saved me $100. Not sure if that helps at all.

Your configuration looks like it will be a very nice MINI.
And here's one vote for PW/B

As far as the aftermarket NAV, I had the AVIC N2, I loved it, sad to have to sell it, but left the states. PW is nice, I have SB and I love it, don't see too many out there. Well, since you have one, I'm sure you don't need to know about all the options, but the armrest is a must. Good luck, sounds like a winner

I agree with armrest. It is a personal thing though depending on how you drive comfortably. I have one and find it a good fit, but have seen some posts where people have removed them because they were in the way.

Correct on 17" vs 16". Never drove MCS with 16", but have the sport package and 17" and ride is a tad "rough", but not too bad.

I'm waiting for winter pot holes and I may change my mind.

As to the PW/B cleanliness issue. I find mine looks pretty clean between washes. I went up for a day run on the Dragon recently and a couple of people noted how clean El Kabong looked compared to theirs. I thought the PS looked very clean after 3-4 Dragon runs as well.
I have the 17" wheels and thought the ride was rough. I changed out the run-flats for some Yokohama ES-100s and the ride is MUCH better.
Good luck deciding!

Well, I made my order yesterday from Classic in Ohio.
2006 MCS
Pepper White / Black Roof/Mirrors
Cold Weather / Premium / Sport Packs
Rear Fog Lamp
Limited Slip Differential
Leatherette: Black (to be covered by Wet Okoles)
Chrome Line Interior
Cockpit Chrono Pack
Harman Kardon Sounds
Int. Surface "Seven" Piano Black
Security System (install myself)

I've already got the Aero Grill to put on too. I'm so excited!
Now just need to find a place near there for Tint and Clear Bra.
Anyone interested in PS/B 03 Cooper?

Awesome Mini. I really like the Piano Dash, very classy. My wife and I have an 06 Space Blue w/ Premium, Sport, Convenience pkgs on order as well. So I'll see you in the support group forum.
