Can't siphon?

Is there a way to siphon gas from a MINI? I tried to put a siphon hose in mine and there was a blockage - did German engineering foil me?

Put regular in the tank? :)

The mind boggles:roll:

I used to work with a guy who always had a full can of gas in his van. He ran out of gas on a regular basis and would brag about the virtues of having that spare can of gas handy!?!??!
I think he missed that class on how to read the gas gauge:nod:

I want to empty the tank to weigh the car and get an autocross alignment.

Wouldn't it just make sense to weigh 1 gallon of gas, multiply that by the amount of gas in a full tank, then subtract that from the mini's weight after you weigh it with said full tank?

1 gallon of gasoline = 6.1 lbs
mini cooper s gas tank = 13.2 gallons

80.52 lbs of gas with a full tank.

You cannot syphon gas from the car.

All newer cars have a check ball at the end of the filler neck to prevent someone from stealing your gas.

I want to get an alignment at the weight I autocross - which is just about an empty tank. But, you've answered my question - guess I'll have to empty it the old fashioned way.
