Rock hits bonnet on vinyl stripe- vinyl and paint chipped (how to repair?)
Rock flew up a couple weeks ago, first major rock damage to my car.
It's about the size of two grains of rice put next to each other, but fairly noticible since it's a dark spot on a silver stripe.
Any thoughts on how to touch up? (ie just use silver paint b/c it's on the vinyl?).
My main priority is sealing it off so it doesn't expand or rust, and then secondly the cosmetic aspect.
Thanks

If so I'd love to consider a less expensive option unless there isn't one.

the same color?

Again the area is at most 1.5-2 grains of rice thick and probably not evne as long as one grain of rice.
Think I'll try the silver option and then correct later with more money if needbe instead of laying out the couple hundred now for a dealer to re-install the stripe and maybe never need to do this when a tab of silver paint would have worked.
