Wifey thinks I clean MINI too much
She's always saying it looks clean... Why do you wash it so much? Is it me?
During my lunch break I'll scrape the dead bugs off the windshield with a sharp razor blade and then use a chamois to clean it up nicely... Am I obsessed?
No, "I'm in love with my car" (as Queen would sing).

I'm sure mine thinks the same thing, but I've found a way to keep her happy...I wash hers too.
Now that's no easy task, she drives a black 2006 Impala SS - that's a big car by any standard, but especially compared to my MCS! It's like 4.5' longer!
Makes me tired as hell, but if I do one, I do them both, and I do mine A LOT!

My whole family thinks I am crazy. I don't really care though - it's what makes me happy
. My next door neighbor says she has never seen someone was their car as much as I do.

How about this "You're gonna wash the paint right off that car!" - I hate that one!
I rarely wash mine more than three times a week. This morning I figured I'd give it a wash about 6 am just to "spruce her up" for the trip to work. My neighbor was pulling out and he stopped at the end of my drive way - sat there just looking. So I said, "dude, you really should wash your car occasionally, I mean what is wrong with you?"
Yeah, I've heard this. More now that I have an '06. I had started to slack off in the 2nd and 3rd year of owning my '02 (forgive me
).
Detailing kit in the boot, more supplies at home. It gets a daily rubdown with quick detailer.
For some reason they never seem to care that the dishes get washed every day too.

1. I work for MINI and I am testing the paints durability.
2. I have always wondered, "how many washes does it take to get to inside of a MINI".

Acceleration is top notch, every bit of the 5.7 0-60 documented. She wanted it, but I wanted her to get the Charger R/T. Although I have to admit, the sound coming out of the pipes in the SS is a sweet song - one the Charger just couldn't/didn't play. It's a head turner when people are near you and you start it up! Then they have that odd look on their face
.But I wouldn't give up my MCS for it in a heartbeat! I love it! I'll settle for driving the SS on the weekends.

Awesome headliner replies. I just heard that line two days ago.
And just today, my wife asks if I would like to sleep in my MINI. Its tempting
. On Friday, I spent over 6 hours detailing, waxing, and the such. Of course my neighbor yelled, do you need a mattress for your MINI.
Deep down there jealous.

I spent about 12 hours cleaning my Mini in the 3 weeks I've owned it so far. That's about 11 hours more than I've spent cleaning any other car in the rest of my life combined.
I've already thought about building a garage with a drain so I can wash it during the winter. Portland had one period of 44 days of continuous rain this winter. I cant possibly go 44 days without a wash.

davetinNY, i think that as long as your still giving the wifey attention, she should be ok. i like it when my husband takes care of things

I have a cousin who always bought Pontiacs (Used to be Firebirds until they got too ugly, than he switched to Grand Prixs). He always kept his vehicles immaculate.
He also had a list of people waiting in-line to buy his Pontiacs when he was ready to buy a new one. And never had to hagle about what he wanted for these USED Pontiacs. They knew they were buying a used car in "show-room" condition, inside & out, under the hood & under the body.

Amen to that. That is definitely a perk. The last 2 vehicles I sold were bought by the first person that came and looked at them. Both commented on the condition of the vehicle inside and out!
