I recieved a $83 ticket from a state trooper for not having a front license plate. Does anyone know of a frame where I will not have to drill into the front of my car to put a license plate on the front. Maybe some sort of clip or a magnet system. Any web-sites you know of that may sell this product?
Thanks alot for taking the time to read this!

sorry about the ticket, and I can't really help you because I haven't heard of anything about this sort of thing, and my MCS came with the front tag on it, wonder why yours didn't.

Ouch, you should have said it was stolen or lost and you didn't notice. That's what my excuse will be if I ever get cited for for mine.

Just stick it on w/ double-sided foam tape and then yank it back off when you're clear. It's probably good to have some bait like that so that the cop doesn't cite you for your real violation.

Fight the ticket, I did and won. I never put my second plate on the front of my
car and received a parking ticket in NY. I took a picture of the rear end of my car with my second plate leaning on my bumper, and sent in a letter saying the bracket for the front plate was broken and the new one was on back order. They bought it. Its worth a try.
I haven't had the nerve to pull off my front plate of my Mini yet, but it does look better without it.
Good luck-

I just thought of something...
Pull back the front bumper and stick some strong magnets on the inside, that way you can just pop the plate on and off safely.

what about putting it bellow the bumper over the mesh opening ( oil radiator)??
Soon will need to do something with mine.
Once I read about the idea putting it on the sun visor in the car?!?!

My MINI came with a very nice front license holder already installed. Doesn't look too bad and it appears to be made to blend in fairly well. I live in Missouri & we have to have front plates. I have however driven for about a year without a front plate on my Miata(it was DIGGING into the front bumper). So far I haven't been stopped but I do keep the plate in the trunk & have a story all made up to give to the police.
ps I see you are from Missouri too. I also wonder why you did not have the holder already attached. Believe me, I have many Miata motoring buddies that have been stopped & given a citation numerous times for no front plate by the Mo. Highway Patrol

Girly cars should never have a front plate it detracts from the girliness of the car. I now have proof that the Cooper is not a girly car. It has a front plate

That bumper is only plastic mate. I drilled into mine for my Euro plate and I think it looks fine.

Living in a front plate state, I'm not getting aversion to front plates either... As a matter of fact, I plan on painting mine (when the weather gets warmer..) white to match my plate holder...

It did not have a front plate already installed because I bought it out of state. As a matter of fact they were going to put it on but I don't want the front drilled into, because this august I will be going off to college in Washington state, but still keeping the MO plates, so I figure no cop up there would pull me over for no front plate since I will be out of state. As for why no front plate at all, I think it looks better without the plate on the front(my personal oppinion).

You can get the aero kit plat holder, that has hole to mount on the bottom of the brunt bumper, that way no holes in it. I am still yet to mount it, but I do have it.. it looks better than the standard one.. "I'm at college, so don't have any tools to mount the new one"
