Hello All,
Does anybody know if there are any dealers with S's available for MSRP either now or without a long waiting period?

A man can dream, can't he?

Thanks,

Craig

You are in California so it could mean a "Road Trip" to another state to pick it up.

>>without a long waiting period?

Define long.

I waited only 50 weeks. Was told it'd be about 1.5 to 2 years. So what's long to you?

check Utah, Nevada, Az, and Oregon, they can ship the car to you for under $500 I think.

Why so long in Arizona ? You could order from a Baton Rouge or Memphis dealer and get it in about 6 months! You might want to concider doing that before waiting 2 years!

MINI of the Hamptons on Long Island is advertising MC's and MCS's in stock and on the lot with mark-up......They have inventory list on their web page

Look at the vendor announcements.

According to their post here,
Hamptons MINI Post, they are selling at MSRP; no markup or dealer add-ons.

Worth a call.

T ry Mini of Fairfield County, Stamford, CT.
Several Dark Silvers...........msrp......... in stock

That wait estimate was give March 2002.

At that time the MC wasn't even being sold yet in AZ!

I was just over 1000 on the wait list. Knowing some would fall off due to lack of interest I guestimated 2 years. The sales staff of course told me about 1 to 1.5 years to keep my hopes up. Then over the course of 2002, financial hardship befell America and I got bumped up the list. I finally got to place the order last Dec with a Jan prod date. I took delivery 2/27 this year.

saw MCS in the paper today at MSRP and 2 MC for under list....saw several low mileage MC under 17K.....no wait on MC here in Ariz and little or no wait on MCS..all appear to be MRSP or less now, probably depends if you are trading or financing through them which is usually added profit for them.....good luck

Motor City MINI has about a 3 month "order-to-delivery" time for the MCS, pricing is MSRP, no "fee's" of any sort

good luck!

Ryan

i live in simi valley, ca

bought my MCS at MSRP from universal city mini, 4 weeks wait

bicoastal Mar 10, 2003 12:30 PM

I live in the SF Bay and did an increasing-radius phone search of Mini dealers for pricing and availability of an MCS factory order. (Didn't try all of the LA dealers, though).

Ordered my MCS from International Mini (Milwaukee) on March 3 at MSRP; estimated build date per MINIusa website is 3/21. I received my VIN Saturday night!

Plan to fly to Milwaukee, drive up to see my daughter in Minneapolis, and then search out the twisties between Minnesota and Tahoe. Should hit 1250 miles somewhere just over the continental divide.

Route advice on Iowa, Nebraska, etc., much appreciated. Don't see too many twisties on the map.

Roadshow loves to deal out of state, that's where I got mine. For MSRP no less.

And Rasmussen MINI in Portland OR is expecting a HUGE shipment of MINIs in the next month or so. 60 from what I heard. Should be a few S's in there to pick from. Give them a call 1-866-747-MINI, ask to speak to Jarid, tell him Ryan told you to call.

You might consider a used one. I was able to find the exact car I wanted, one month old with 532 miles on it and paid $925 below sticker! I rented a car one way and drove 350 miles to LA and drove it home. No wait!!!!!

2003 Brg/Blk/Anthracite, Black Panther leather, combos #1, #2, #3

Good Luck!!!!

I don't know what their inventory is like now, but I bought mine off the lot at Ferman MINI of Tampa Bay for MSRP (plus a heafty delivery fee and dealer installed autobahn clear bra) back in Oct 02.

I grew up in Iowa and was back last week end, I-80 is the main draw, but might want to consider Old Hyw 6 thur Iowa/Neb if you have the time as you could vary your speed. (I put 1500 miles on my "S" the 1st weekend and since 10/10/02 have 9500 miles..
