MINI's on hwy 100

A little background. For those of you who are un-aware, hwy 100 is a strip in milwaukee that is popular for cruising. Cars of all kinds cruise it. I have been going up to milwaukee quite a bit lately(usually fri/sat evenings) and I always have a bunch of fun. Meet people, talk about cars, race if you feel fit, whatever...theres some popular meeting places as well.

anyway. i have yet to cruise/see a single MINI cruisin the strip; so this is my call.

to anyone in the milwaukee area, or within drivin range(we'll say 500 miles...) is there anyone semi-interested in cruising the strip some evening? PM me or post, im kinda curious

As for someone who live about a block away from HWY100 I avoid it like the plague on Friday and Saturday nights.

2 reasons.

1. Over abundance of rice and high school. I guess if you're into dragging with 16 year olds who wouldn't know the first thing about controlling a car that has gotten away from them while their little hoochie girlfriends check you out, then thats your business. :) Plus, you'll see some awesome 30 foot spoilers keeping them firmly planted to the ground too!

2. Because it is well known in the area that rice and high school invade HWY100 there is a plethora of police just waiting to pull people over. They will pull you over if they see you twice in an hour just to make sure you aren't cruising. I went to Wal-Mart once and got pulled over for it cause he saw me twice.:eek2: The also have a hawk's eye and ear for high RPMs, dragging, and squeeling tires. Also, they have no U-Turn signs along the entire strip, so you have to either turn into sub-divisions (which they'll nail you for) or go WAY out into the boonies to turn around.:impatient

The ratio to decent car owners with tons of car knowledge to rice and high school is about 1 :50.

I've lived less then a mile away from HWY100 in various places along it for the past 8 years. IMHO, HWY100 isn't all that it's cracked up to be.

------EDIT------
However, if you're up for motoring anywhere else, I'm in. PM me with a location and a time.

these are all true. And i definitely agree with you. That scene is not everyone's cup of tea. But there are also some who do enjoy it, I do anyway.
