The day has come. I decided to trade the Mini in for something bigger. I really liked the Mini a lot. I did have quite a few problems but that was not the main reason. With 4 kids I thought we could get along with one car with 3 rows of seats. We can if the 2nd car has enough room for 3 in the back seat. Now that most of the kids are into spring sports (bat bags and soccer bags etc..), the Mini would not cut it for us. I will miss all the help here! You guys really do make it even more fun to own a Mini. Good luck to you all and God bless you!BTW I will post in the sale forum my Magnaflow and K&N Typhoon as soon as I can clean them up and take some pics.
The new ride? A Dodge Magnum R/T. Man, is this thing big.
Ok, first mod.
300C front clip!
Theres a really good Website for mods for the new, or what I like to think of as the new C bodies.
I'll look in one of my Mopar mags and see if I can find it.

As I was reading this my husband came into the room with a pic of him holding our daughter (now 9) when she was about 10mos old and said "c'mon hon, doncha want just one more??!!"
I'm pretty sure my look answered the question
Good luck and I'm sure you'll be back!
Mine are now at the age where I'm usually only driving one at a time, so the MINI is working out perfectly.
Enjoy the Magnum,
Annette

Buckeye, what are you initial impressions of the Magnum? Obviously it's no MINI, but I'm curious as to what you think of it.

ooo i love the magnum... you'll love the room and the way you can fit so mush stuff in it. Before i ordered my MINI, it was a toss up between the magnum and the mini. My work let e take the magnum home for a week to see if it would fit my comute and needs. Of cource it was the Hemi all wheel drive. I bought an air compressor and the thing FIT! in the magnum. it was great. They only down fall me was my length i drive to work. I drive over 160 miles a day, and with the hemi and my led foot, it just ate gas like nothing. So i went for the MINI
. BUT my boyfriend is in the market for the magnum. he loved it. he also only lives 3 miles from work so he wont eat gass like i would. you'll love it, i did!
BuckeyeMCS,
Sorry to hear this, but I understand. I haven't driven the Magnum but I like their look. My last two cars were Sebring convertibles and they were the best cars I have had, and absolutely no problems with either one. If I were to get something other than a MINI, another Sebring convertible would be my first choice, followed by the Magnum.
Good luck with the new wheels. Hope to see you back here occasionally, and maybe in the future with a new MINI.
Let me know if you find the website. I have friend who has a Magnum and loves the car, but wants to do some mods to it. Neither of us knows what is out there for the Magnum and we are interested in ideas.

Borla and CAI are on the way.
I got a loaded one with Nav and dual climate control.
Another pic in front of the Horseshoe after I detailed it with NXT(sorry it's big)
Sorry to see your Mini go, but the Magnum is pretty nice. We considered one for a family car (two kids under 4), but my wife wanted three rows of seats so we ended up with our Freestyle. We've decided to stop with two kids (at least for now), so one big car and one Mini car will work for us.

That thing got a Hemi? :wink"
Good choice. Wagons, despite their Brady Bunch reputation in the early '70s were always cool. and it's fine time that they are 'rediscovered' as ideal family haulers against SUVs. The Magnum takes a page out of the returning popularity of wagons (especially in the 'street machine' high performance crowd currently remaking 60s and 70s wagons into cool rides) and does it justice. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Mopar man myself (the 'Chrysler connection' to the current MINI engine was another reason for me getting a MINI).
Happy Wagoning!

Good luck and enjoy the Hemi! I come from a 4 kid family and know first hand the woes of trying to fit everything in it for band practice, soccer, and basketball, etc etc!
Hopefully someday we will see you back!
Here's all I have to fit in my backseat currently, so the MINI still works!

Buckeye,
As a Fellow Buck myself and both a MINI, Mopar and Mowog (Morris,MG, Wosley) fan, I'm sad to see the MCS go but glad to see ya got a Hemi powered Magnum. I am a huge fan of sleepers and all hi-po wagons are just that. I think the Dodge Magnum, Mercedes/AMG Uberwagen, Audi's S4, RS4 and A6 Avants, and BMW 540 Touring are all phenomenal. Must go back to the late 1960's when an uncle had a Chevy wagon with a 427 rat motor in it.

Thanks for the compliments guys! He really takes after his mom!
Absolutely the best thing in my life
Now on topic, how dark did you go with the window tint on the Magnum? There are couple here in Tucson that roll on 20's with limo (5%) tint and they look just mean!! They are like the anti-MINI, snarl instead of smile.

According to Ohio Administrative Code 4501-41-03, on Ohio registered vehicles window tint must allow 50 percent light transmittance on the rear and side windows, and 70 percent transmittance on the windshield. In other words, the tint can not be darker than 50 percent on the side and back, and 30 percent on the windshield.
Light transmittance of 50 percent does not apply on the windows behind the driver if there are outside left and right side mirrors. Remember, auto glass is slightly tinted from the factory and will make the tint you apply to your windows darker than advertised by the tint manufacturer.

Sorry the MINI has to go, but it does make sense. Perhaps there'll be another MINI in your future at some point down the road. They do grow up eventually.
