When are MINI's gonna start dying?
It's not that I hate MINI's FAR FROM IT(just ask anyone who knows ANYTHING about me) but it would be nice if a MINI or two started showing up in a junkyard. Dealer prices, as we know, are rather high, and it would be great to start getting nice discounts for, seemingly insignificant pieces.
For instance, I recently(3 days ago) had to replace the manifold pressure sensor on her. She was sputtering and stalling, turned out to be a lame sensor problem...$50! anyway, this piece would be bartered for no more then $10 at a junkyard, if the car were just laying out there... All im saying is that, it is very sad, yes, when these things pass on. I always read the sad stories and say a little prayer for those in mourning, but, in some sadistic way, it would bring me a little joy if I could start seeing a MINI thats functioning as a "discount MINI parts" rack... |
Cannibal! You can try San Jose. There is a LY/B somewhere down there.

   MINIs weren't made to be cheap they were made to be fun, get your eyes off of my ECU!
Seriously there are far more expensive things out there to keep going, just chalk it up to uniqueness now, eventually costs will drop. |
As more get in accidents they will start to show up in junk yards.

they are quite a bit more prevalent in europe.
check in an old issue of gomini, there are several MINI junkyards there. |
I saw one in a junkyard
On my last trip to Missoula Montana I flew I/O Spokane WA and on the way back to the airport I briefly saw a wrecked (rolled) JB/W MC in a junkyard. Only MINI I saw on that entire 4 day trip  Jimbo
