R50/53 Emissions neutral?
Emissions neutral?
Hey all!
Was working a pro bike race in CA this Feb where one of the sponsors was Cliff bar, a very green company. They were touting the race as an "emissions neutral" race. Which, if you have ever seen a pro bike race is a pretty tall order, there are A LOT of caravan vehicles, mucho internal combustion going on.
Anyway, it involves buying "energy credits" for alternative forms of energy to offset the CO2 internal combustion vehicles put into the air. They have a program that tells you how much greenhouse gases the car produces and how much alternative energy it will take to "neutralize" it. For example, heading to AMVIV from Denver, CO, will cost me $12 to offset the GH gases put out by my Mini in the form of alternative energy
Pretty cool (pardon the pun) check it out!
