Bought my '03 Cooper with 110K, now almost a year later I have 128K on the odo. I did, however, have to replace a few items. Both axle shafts, the mismatched run-flats (Goodyear in back and ContiPro's in front), all 4 brake rotors and brake pads, A/C compressor, plugs (they were the original plugs and wires!!!), air filter and cabin air filter (also the original....couldn't figure out why the A/C was wheezing like an asthmatic grandmother...changed the filter and WOW what a difference). MINI of Omaha quoted me $750 to change just the front brake rotors and pads. I laughed all the way out the door. Cost me $8K to buy, plus the parts (did all the work by myself) but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Love it.

Got a 03 MC Chili Red/Black top, just over 50K miles on it. I replaced the factory spark plugs with NGK Platinums and matching wire set, air filter, cabin filter, brake pads, oil change (w/ Mobil 1 0W-40), both CV axles and wiper refills. Bought her last February

98,560 miles on a 2003 MCS. Replaced power steering pump at 68,000, flushed out heating core 96,000, replaced downstream oxygen sensor, now I have a power steering fluid leak at 98,000, but other than new brakes and tires I have been very happy. However, having some heat issues 2 months after the heating core flush. Maybe a thermostat? We'll see.

One note, I go through rear tires like crazy. I think I may be late on replacing shocks.

almost 56k with an 06 S. Replaced the front pads about 8k miles ago, about to do the rears soon, had the belt tensioner and coolant gasket replaced under warranty over a year ago, replaced the stock plugs with NGK's at 54k. My car is probably slowly ticking away for some bigger maintenance things, but so far I've been pretty darn impressed with its reliability. Especially with the way I drive it.

160,000 miles on a 2004 S. Only had to replace the radiator. Time for shocks.

Shocks for sure, check those upper front shock mounts, they love to break out. lower control arm bushings are also in line at this time.

71K on my '02 MC. I know, I should be closer to 150K but I babied it for a few years. Needs an oil change, a wash, seems to have a very slow coolant leak somewhere, and oddly in last two months gas mileage has dropped by something like 9mpg. Dunno yet what's up with the last item. Overall it's been a great investment and just as fun to drive after 10 years as it was day 1.

I take back what I said before about our 06 R53 being faultless...

Since hitting 100K a couple months ago I've taken a deeper look through the car and have found numerous things to replace, including: shocks (rebound was totally gone), yet another stock front strut mount (third OEM one with split rubber), crank position sensor leak at front of engine right below water pump, oil pan gasket leaking, thermostat housing leaking (still had the OLD style thermostat seal in there!).

Regardless though the car is still fantastic and we love driving it...
Looking forward to another 100K

Thats impressive. I have 232K now, but I'm thinking about retiring the old gal. The CVT is starting to give it up. I just picked up a little BMW e46 station wagon andit drives pretty nice. However I'll use the little mini to do a few Tech videos for our web site shortly. Perfect car since it's got some common issues that need fixing.

Bought my Pure silver R53 in October with 105k, he now has 113k and still purring along. However right now I'm changing rear brakes, and all new tires... that's easy. Only thing wrong with the car is the passenger door actuator isn't working but, I'll fix that soon. Fingers crossed it runs for a LONG time... love this car way way way too much to ever part. Seriously..... Mini's are amazing

Got mine a month ago, with 98,000 miles... It's at 101,300 this afternoon!
No issues with the car what so ever, other than an over tightened coil pack causing the valve cover to split - common issue with over zealous Mini modders apparently!!

What a roller coaster ride. A month ago I posted thinking about selling. Now I'm back to my original conviction to keep it forever. I'm at 109k, bought it with high miles (97k). Repairs have been about half certified mechanic and half shade tree. Recently I had new front control arm bushings, sway bar bushings and motor mounts put in at a high price for me, but worth it. So far, a great car. 2003 R50.

I've got a 2005 Cabrio with 128K+ on the clock.

This weekend I just installed a new alternator. I'm thinking that I really need to look for a replacement clutch as I'm still on the original factory clutch and I need to start thinking about new struts. (which is what I'm on NAM researching right now).

03 mini cooper- 235,171km

Changed both front wheel hubs
rear struts
all brakes and rotors
heater core
plugs and wires
speed sensors
hatch hinge
hatch lift supports

I need to find some "a"covers(or whatever they're called) for my windshield as mine blew off shortly after getting a new windshield.

I think I may be at the point where lots of other things are going to start going....I hope not because I love my car but....

I just bought my very first 2004 MC with 99,000 original miles with original clutch on it. The MC is a blast to drive and quick for a non-S model.

2006 cooper We have motored 133,000 miles so far. maintenance issues, so far have been due to normal wear and tear, have replaced the battery, control arm bushings, a radiator fan motor and the engine mounts. I have had two passenger Air Bag light issues.
I know that things like alternators, clutch, and power steering issues loom in the future. I will cross those bridges when they come.
As I tell friends the new car honeymoon, for me isn't over. Every morning when I go to work I tell myself "you are one of the fortunate, you have a MINI"

Did a fair amount of work in the year I have owned the care, almost at 98K now. In April I am having the supercharger swapped out with a rebuilt one as it is making a squeaking/creaking sound when turned when the engine is off. Also going to replace the waterpump while the work is being done there and the tensioner.
