When they put a KITT light in an S scoop, let us know.

I seen the previews yesterday also.

It is a shame that the show looks so terrible. At least to me, anyway.

Yeah, the show looks dumb...the MINI is cool, though. Like, if the college grad can afford a nice MCS, why can't he afford to live on his own...unless he's just a loser...dumb.

Maybe mom and dad gave him the car. You know kids these days get BMWs when they turn 16, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

Yea except me...I am 16 and will be paying everything for my MINI. I'm hoping for August, I'll be 17 by then though.

NOT everyone gets a new car, there are still some that must pay and work for what they want. I'm not mad, because I know that people who worked for something, generally treat their cars better, and baby it more :p.

I got my MINI @ 18 and paid for it....
(and my second at 19 and paid for that one too)

I think I'll watch an episode or two just to see if I can spot his car

shankrabbit Mar 1, 2006 12:43 PM

oh great... i bet this show does to MINIs what OC and One Tree Hill did to good music.

My hubby likes to watch dumb and brainless shows on TV (That 70's Show, Two and a Half Men, Seinfeild...) so I guess I'll watch the commercials  ....Mick

The show and the "MINI" is on the cover of the TV Guide out of Sundays paper. (Pittsburgh Tribune Review)

I saw the Trailer too but didn't see the show..Anybody watch it that can give us the low down?:)

Donna:cool:

SonicVI Mar 1, 2006 02:38 PM

If it is anygood then it will not last long at all knowing Fox. Just look what they did with Wonderfalls. That was one of the best shows ever imo and they aired three episodes before cancelling it.

I see the show on now first scene and they already have and SUV honking at the MINI. And apperently to drive a MINI you have to be from California

KennyMooper Mar 1, 2006 07:32 PM

Yeah it premiered after AI tonight. They didn't even show the car much, but apparently he does run over a cat with it later in the season.....

polizei Mar 1, 2006 07:37 PM

I hope it doesn't publicise the MINI too much. That's what I'm worried about! I bet a LOT of people bought a MINI after watching the 2003 version of the Italian Job...it's bound to happen, which sucks!

Sadly, MINI's are getting less and less unique...more people are buying them and don't know the history of the car, and they really don't appreciate the car for what it is...it's just 'another car'.

alpinamike Mar 1, 2006 07:39 PM

Yea, if you live in Cali...

you drive a MINI and have your parents give you money for school,
but they did leave it dirty from the drive. lol

They act like the MINI is a cheap young ecno car..
Fox has some bad writers, they should have hired the Simpson writers for this one:thumbsup:

KennyMooper Mar 1, 2006 07:48 PM

Well I'll get ready for the "sexist" attacks, but I'm gonna say it: I was glad to see a guy driving a MINI on TV.

alpinamike Mar 1, 2006 07:51 PM

Yea I forgot about that one..

and they did not say its Cute:mad:  ....
for now.

Well it stopped being a "chick" car after the Italian Job everyone including the PD figured out this car has some get up and GO to it.

Seinfeld isn't brainless... its a freaking tv masterpiece! Without Seinfeld there'd be no Festivus feats of strength and I'd probably wouldn't have that garbage disposal in my shower.

NBC wrote that, FOX just paid to re-air it. So how much do you think the new advertising company paid to get it on there?

SIGH of relief that someone said it so that I wouldn't have to. Curb Your Enthusiasm is good too.

And to everyone worried, I wouldn't be, since Fox will undoutedly cancel the show, especially if it is good. (Read: What they tried to do to "Family Guy" and what I hear is happening to "Arrested Development" if it hasn't happened already.)
