There was a teaser in a local paper that on Thursday they would review the 2006 MINI. With the teaser that had a picture of an EB MINI. I then wondered - did they make EB MINIs in the 2006 model year?

 

Coopersport.ca doesnt sell em anymore!!! Ach!

All they have is the CF, Chrome, and Checker. Oh well.

Anyone have a set they wanna sell me? Please?

That sounds like it may be a custom version, made of vinyl, perhaps?

By the way, since nobody has said it in quite a while, Electric Blue IS the best color ever sprayed onto the body of a MINI...

Did all the EB crowd see the new 2007 MINI with the new "Laser Blue" color that in pictures looks an awful lot like EB?

and yes, it is the best! The first picture I ever saw of the new MINI was EB and it was all over from that point!!

 

This thread needed to be brought back to life. We had 8 Elec. Blue lined up in Dallas for MTTS.

 

Exactly! The UJ roof really ties it all together. w/o it, it would look mis-matched. I think I'll pop for an EB dash next time around.

 

yup...EB is cool but doesn't work well with warm colors...hence I blacked everything out

black wheels one day in the future!!

 

The gauges are ultra lites by Autometer along with the carbon fiber pods.

I made the bracket myself out of 2" wide by 1/8" thick aluminum from home depot.

Gauge face looks very close to stock tach face.

Oh, my! Are they really bringing EB back, but with a different name???

 

From what I hear, the Laser Blue, will be just a slight darker? and maybe more metalic?? Dunno, just glad to see it's coming back!

 

Yep, they're finally admitting they made a huge error in nixing Electric Blue, so they're resurecting it with the '07 color Laser Blue.

That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it...
