Cool! Did he put the sticker on the race car?

Yucca Patrol Jan 28, 2006 05:35 PM

Probably didn't put the badge on the car, but only because those sunshine badges are thick quality metal with enamel decorations and would weigh too much for a race car!:nod::nod:

I'm lucky enough to have been given one my a dear friend

I wish I would of known

How did I miss this event? I hadn't heard about it and would of loved to have gone. Daytona is only about 1 1/2 hours away. Oh well maybe next year.

awesome pics - I went to the 24 hour race - I couldn't make it over there until saturday morning. It was very cool to see the daytona prototypes, but I would much rather have seen the mini team. Did they look fast? Any idea of how much HP they are making out of that car?

I've talked to Bob Miller a few times when he was racing the S60R's - great guy.

I thought they held their own with most of the pack, but some of those Porsche 997 were just smoking around the track. I think that Tony's car was 16th in class and the other was near the end due to a gearbox issue (Hard to competitive with only 4th gear)

It was great to see the car in person. Tony was saying that most off our street modified S's have more horsepower that he does...

Bet you've heard about that little race they have in February though, huh?

Typical of U.S. racing coverage. Yesterday, as Speed TV was wrapping up their 13 hours of coverage of the 24 hour race, they were bragging about their upcoming "70 HOURS OF PROGRAMMING FOR THE DAYTONA 500!!!!!"

Which is a 3 1/2 hour race.

Which they don't even broadcast.

Sorry....back to your thread....
