I just wanted to thank everyone for the information, I ordered a new MINI yesterday from Mini of Mountain View, then read a thread about Dealer Mark up, sure enought they wanted to charge me $2,500.00 just for the right to buy at their establishment. Called East Bay this morning, they have no mark up. So I cancled the order at Mountain View and ordered from East Bay. The wait time is a few months longer but so what, I saved $2,500.00. Thanks again everyone and keep up the information.:thumbsup:

If you don't mind a trip to L.A. you could also check at Long Beach and South Bay. They both sell at MSRP with no mark-up. :thumbsup:

That's a bit far even though it would be fun but I beleive I got a fair deal from East Bay

Congrats on the order! I wish I had researched this a little before ordering my MINI, I just went with Mountain View as it was the closest.

Yup. Sounds like you did. The other two I posted above just might have a shorter wait (I haven't checked recently, but they may). Just thought I'd throw that out there.

I ordered an 06 JCW PW/B PRemium sport and cold weather pkgs, leather, 17" Web spoke wheels. And I believe you can call and cancel that order.

Cool! So glad to hear of someone else opting to not pay the ridiculous mark up :thumbsup: (We bought at South Bay in Socal).

By the by, took the MCS to East Bay for service and they were very accomodating.
