I have very little to complain about my MCS....but.

Are the sun visors USELESS or what! The winter sun is a killer on my eyes even with wrap around sunglasses. I don't know about you, but I need two hands to drive my MCS!

I see a great opportunity for aftermarket sliding visor extender thingy or something like them?

yes, useless. They are more for decoration than function! I wonder if I can develop new visors that are more functional without looking stupid, hmmmm

You need a pair of those "virtual reality" sunglasses worn by most elderly people.
maybe you can lift a pair at your local senior citizen meeting.

I think mine will just be removed soon. Took them off the Miata and haven't missed them yet.

I've used the visors a few times, but one thing (kind of off-topic) I've noticed is I can't see traffic lights in this car! I thought it would be better with the sunroof open (just peek out there), but the "flaps" that come up when it's open then get in the way :???:

This is true. Funny, but I guess I've gotten used to it now. The white "stop" lines are actually a fairly good guage - don't sit on them, stop the car before them. It usually works out pretty well.

Keep in mind - you don't need to see the yellow or red light when stopped - just watch for the GREEN!

So I guess no after market visors are available? Did not see any threads in the Interior section.

i don't have any trouble with the sunvisors, but i'm also wearing polarized sun glasses. i'm 6'2" - maybe they work well for my height?

i can't see traffic lights at all unless if i stop well back from the light...

They don't have a MINI logo on them, but I have seen transparent green plastic thingies (to use the technical term) that clip on the visor and fold down to extend the visor width in auto parts stores, or maybe in truck stops. I think this is a problem for lots of vehicles and there is something out there. I've seen them. They are just a strip of plastic with hinges. The hinges attach to the visor, and you fold down the "shade" when you want to block the sun. Go to a truckstop and hunt around. They have a lot of interesting comfort items for people who spend long hours behind the wheel.

Yea, I've found it's difficult to see traffic lights too! I think it's a function follows form deal here; the upright windscreen pushes the sightlines way down, causing us MINI owners to duck down to see when to....Motor-on!

As for the sun-visors, yea, rip 'em off and buy a nice pair of Oakley's (plug, plug)

Cheers,
Ryan
