**UPDATE**I'm desperate for a name, but have come up with nothing! **UPDATE**

I've been racking my brain for the last 6 weeks to come up with a name! When I originally started in this venture, I was going to get BRG or HB and had multiple names for those colors, but I ended up ordering a PW/B and just can't come up with a name that "grabs" me.
I have asked all my friends and family (who think I've lost it  ) to help but they all just give me a blank stare. They just don't understand how important this is, but I knew the NAM folks would see my dilemna.
Here's some of my possible choices, I am thinking a male name, but if a female name strikes a chord then so be it!

Name - meaning
Percival,Percy - hero knight found Holy Grail
Cyril - master,lord
Basil - Kingly
Monty (Montague)
Jericho-the gate to the city of Oxford, also from Wikipedia "
Jericho is sometimes used in colloquial phrases to mean somewhere far away: at that moment, I wished him to Jericho.

Bernard (pronounced the British way-my dad's middle name) -brave as bear
Rathbone
Livingston
Albus - white
Finola/Fiona - white shoulder
Guinevere- White
Fletcher - arrow maker,also mom's maiden name
Drake - Dragon
Clive - cliff dweller
Beacon - small, white
Bretta - from Britain

So do any of these sound like a PW/B MCS to anyone, or any other suggestions???
Thanks,
Annette

I personally like the name Fiona.

Reminds me of Princess Fiona off Shrek

Tell us more about you. That will help.

Sometimes it is best to wait until you have your car. You don't always know its name until it get here and even driven it a bit. When is yours coming?

i like

Cyril - master, lord because that is what you now have

You may not know it yet but just wait. He needs a mod, and now he needs another mod, etc. He needs to be DRIVEN and away to go to bid his wishes.

You WILL see...understand??

I have been ruled by my MINI since the day I ordered it!
According to my MA, it arrived at the VDC over the weekend, so it should be here soon?!

We do not name our cars. Our cars are just like our cats. They name themselves. Just wait till you get in behind the wheels and you will have your answer.

Butch (I'm American honey, our names don't mean ****)
Duke (some obscure moviestar's moniker as well as an English Pom)
The Dude (from some un-named flick)

Just my $0.02

Both my TSB name and license plates came to me while driving. TSB=i was behind a short bus turning and it reminded me of my mini's color scheme... and the deviled egg plates were from passing a chicken factory that stinks all the time, but one day it smelled like deviled eggs... again, reminding me of my mini's color scheme.

Your PW/B mini kind of reminds me of a creme filled cupcake. or a hostess snack.

Patience.........a name will come to you when you least expect it...

Hey Short Bus,

I've been meaning to tell you for a while that I love your plate. Mine says Egguinn. Because it reminds my wife of an Egg. We have a BRG MCS/JCW on order which will most likely receive a GRN EGG plates.

It took me six month's to name my PW/B mini. I racked my brain to figure it out. It seem like it would never come to me. I new that he was a boy and after some sprited drives he became "Boo" as in scare you to death. It came after a Mini rally with lot's of high speed curves. He was almost named "Bassel" from the show Faulty towers. For the first 6 months he was the "Pooper" Give it time. PW/B,PP,SP,CWP,lsd,Rear fog,HC,PB/red Tartan,H-sport springs.

I choose MIB and technically it can go wither gender. But I realize that my MC may have a different name in mind. Both KidDiff1 and KidDiff2 were named before birth.

I have to agree with this and have expounded on it before. I think its a mistake to name the car. Drive it for a couple of months and the car will tell you its name.

We made the mistake of immediately naming her (yes a her) and she rebelled. Threw fit. She said she will let us know her name when SHE decides:thumbsup:

I did not name my silver MC, and am finally getting my silver MCS on Wednesday. Last night in a dream, a name came to me. So obvious. I am not afraid to name it before it arrives, because I feel that my MC is the child embryotic form of my MCS, and through the "passing of the keys" it will grow a supercharger, and hence earn its long awaited name. This name though, I cannot tell you until it arrives.

is a car HUMAN?

Personally, giving a car a human name seems strange. Have you considered more the "nickname" approach --- think seven dwarves--- DINKY, SNOTTY,
CRABBY, PERKY, SALTY, MOXIE. My HyperBlue MCS is named SMARTY, which I hope generates a few smiles.

gokartride Nov 14, 2005 03:52 PM

No luck yet?

Join the club. Almost three years, still no name for my MINI. Lord knows I've tried. Really, it's okay if your MINI doesn't have a name right away or ever...it does not mean it is any less loved. I can vouch for that.

   Col.Bobby, I love your approach to naming....very amusing! For PW/B, SALTY is cute!
