I don't remember posting in this thread about the best color for a Mini, so I'll do it anyway.
Not a lot done to the exterior right now, Aero front grills, base Cooper side scuttles and gas cap/mechanism, black beltine kit and rear wiper delete.

Count me in! I just picked up this '03 JCW with 44,000 miles. Really excited about it. It's just the car I wanted.

Been there, replaced that . . . . too. Going to do that work yourself? It's not that hard really. Best of luck.Originally Posted by nrowensby

Yeah... it seems very straight-forward. Service mode doesn't really intimidate me, as I've recently converted from the VW/Audi world and those things go into service mode for everything. LOLOriginally Posted by ToBFree

After you put it in service mode, the job looks quite simple. Everything is easily accessible.
Just waiting on parts...

Hoping to have her back on the road before next weekend (that's my goal)...

If you're interested, I posted some pics at photobucket in an album called "SC Replacement" under the username "ToBFree_MINI". Not a complete part by part recap, but a few to see inside before you have to find your way. I started on a Friday afternoon with all parts in hand, was back together and running on Sunday. I also had to drill out a strut bolt I discovered broken and did a couple other upgrades while I was in there.Originally Posted by nrowensby

Has anyone seen a dark silver with color matched wheels. Trying to get some ideas and want to see how it would look.
