How many miles?
I'm just sitting here at my desk, eating some Oreos and chocolate milk , wondering, what kind of miles are other MINI owners putting on their cars? I took delivery of Newton on May 16th of this year, and now have over 10,500 miles on it as of this moment! I don't doubt the reliability of this fine automobile, but it is my one and only vehicle at the moment, and since I'll be putting way more miles on it in the very near future, is there anything wierd to be expected on the road ahead?

Got my MINI four and a half months ago and I have about 18,000 miles on it! Oh yeah I would have way more too but for about a month I was completely broke so I couldn't drive as much as I usually do . I once went though a full tank of gas every day for 8 days in a row  . I plan on keeping my car forever though so I'm just going to keep rebuilding the engine.

It was good seeing you fine folks last week!
BTW I rolled over 79,000 miles on the Dragon last week.

June 5, 2003 Delivery of my 03 MINI CVT. Hit 37,000 mark last night. Lots of problems, none that left me stranded though...love the car...hope it lasts to 370,000 miles!
issues so far (all resolved under warranty at the dealer):
*HK amplifier stopped working, replaced under warranty (RUW)
*Driver side door lock actuator stopped working, RUW
*Electric Power Steering Motor failed (yet car still drove...only with much difficulty turning the wheel!), towed to dealer and replaced under warranty
*"Leather" 2-spoke steering wheel leather was bubbling up, peeling: RUW
*Dashboard rattles/vibrates like crazy: dealer installed these funny little rubber stoppers between dash and lower edge of windshield...worked for a while, then started buzzing like crazy again!
Ummm, some other silly stuff stopped working here and there, but again, nothing that left me stranded so I chalk it up to...bad luck or whatever. Still my most fun and exciting car to drive EVER.
Rock on,

Wow, kudos to all of you racking up the miles! Coopers are certainly meant to be driven - actually, any car for that matter.
Purchased mine 3 weeks ago and I have 5xx as of today - pretty sad. I work from home so I normally don't put many miles on my cars. I have all of these mods sitting here, but I can't install them until the break-in is at least over with! LOL...
