When I looked at the silver on the roof of the Space Blue, I thought it was a shade bit darker than the Pure Silver, but there weren't any close by to compare it too

That being said though, it is a rich looking combination on the Space Blue and I am counting on the same with the Solar Red  .

Yes. I would certainly think it would. I built that color combination a few times on MINIUSA.

My MA told me it's the same silver as the Pure Silver.

The thing I like most about SB is that at different angles, it almost looks a bit purplish.

What a strange strange world we live in where someone can ask to see photos of silver roof cars and have someone we have never met post pictures of OUR MINI they took before we had even seen it!

Thanks rednwhitecooper! You'll have to drop by Classic the next time we get a new MINI!

grrrr

This whole thread is bumming me out. I really wanted to order the checkmate package, but you got the space blue interior with all of the exterior colors. Since I'd never seen the Space Blue in person, and it looked kind of teal on the sample, I passed.
Stomping off and slamming the door.

That silver roof and wheel combo so nice it almost doesn't matter what's in between. Which is not a slam on the space blue -- it's nice as a sophisticated option. Reminds me of my favorite crayola color when I was a kid, midnight blue.

Thank you, I agree. My wife suggested it since both white and black look bad when dirty. (There is the little issue of letting my MCS get dirty, but that can be another thread.) My MA suggested the silver headliner (I was thinking of anthracite) and man does it look awesome! There's a continuity of silver inside and out.

is the silver headliner the standard non-anthracite headliner or is it yet another option (that I can't find on miniusa)? hopefully it is the standard one because that's what I went for

Silver stripes. They were not available, factory installed, until a month after I went to production. My dealer offered to install them for me at the factory price ($100) once the part became available. He says the stripes are not yet in.

Space Blue

Any more pictures of the Space blue MINI? If you have one, let me know. Mine should be in Charlestown, SC 11/3/05. I’m guessing 2 weeks till it’s ready for me at the Houston TX, dealership.

Space Blue must be a hard color to photograph. In the pictures I’ve seen so far, every one was a different shade of dark blue. I’m guessing it will look darker in person. I went out on a limb ordering it before actually seeing it in person.

Same deal for me, except the dealer still has my car (got there 10/9). Their screw-up, they can floor the cost until the stripe is in and the car is ready.

My first MINI was an all-Pure Silver Cooper, "MINIclo."

My photos were taken on an overcast day with no direct sunlight and to my eye the photos show the way it looked to me in person, no other photos posted have seemed to quite capture the true color. It was much darker than I was expecting from the configurator on MINI USA, but it is beautiful

It's those new fangled bulbs in the tanning bed! I really need to go somewhere better.

Colors can be very tricky. Yucca and I were shocked today to see that my Purple Haze looked three very different colors all at the same time on different parts of the body (due to the sun setting). It went from non-metallic eggplant to blue/purple to very metallic purple purple. I imagine that the Space Blue will be the same way.
