Doesn't anyone keep gloves in the glove box?

My glove-box organizer which organizes:

1. Manual folder thing with registration, insurance card and emergency cash (shh! It's a secret stash)
2. Shift diagram cheat sheet for valets and car wash guys (my Momo shift knob doesn't have numbers on it, and hearing someone grinding around trying to find reverse is not something you want to do twice!)
3. Napkins
4. Albertson's saving card
5. iPod, at least when the car isn't in motion
6. One CD in case I forget my iPod and can't find anything good on the radio

In the little well in the glove box door:
Pen, mini Maglite, junky tire pressure guage I need to replace, tube of Vaseline lip therapy

But no gloves!

A glovebox organizer, pen, pad of paper, package of kleenex, CDs, pocket knife, pocket flashlight, FRS radio.

Just one comment to others who've added to this thread, most people put their insurance papers in the glovebox. However, if the unthinkable should happen and somebody steals your car, the first place the theif would look is in the glovebox. Your insurance papers usually contain your address. Also, if a thief should get pulled over by police officer, and officer asks for insurance papers, if the insurance papers are somewhere else (in the car), chances are you it would be easier to get your car back. I usually hide my insurance papers under the boot carpet or somewhere less likely for a stranger to look. Just a thought....

thefuturequeenofnebraska Oct 14, 2005 11:05 AM

ive got my front license plate bracket and the information that came with the car. since my glovebox is BEHIND my passenger seat, theres no point in keeping usable things there... boo nissan.

Sadly the local law here is that the insurance needs to be displayed in a little pocket on the windshield.
