Adjust Auto-Dimming Rear View Mirror?

I tried a search, but couldn't find anyting on this. I have a '05 convertible - don't think that makes any difference for my question, though.

Is there any kind of adjustment to the sensitivity of the auto-dimming inside rearview mirror? Mine seems to be set very high, and I am blinded by cars at night constantly because it doesn't want to dim.

Help

No. Just make sure the sensor is clean.

If your blinded by cars @ night is it working? the auto-dimming mirror is a option. You sure you have it? I just check because you say your being blinded. Which makes me wonder if its working at all.

Yeah, ours went the other way - when we have cars behind us, it gets TOO dim for my tastes - you get that funky ghosting purpley-green hazy look that I STILL haven't gotten used to. Not that getting blinded is any better, mind you.

Yes, we have it on "Sam". It works better, strangly enough, with the top down at night rather than up. It will dim, but it takes a car behind me with lights bright enough to melt the paint on my boot...

Clean the sensor? How's that done?
